Machine Learning and Inverse Design

Inverse design is an emerging paradigm in physics and engineering, where the goal is to determine the structure that yields a desired electromagnetic or optical response. Unlike traditional forward modeling - where one computes the response of a known geometry - inverse design solves the harder problem of retrieving geometry from function. This shift opens the door to efficient, automated discovery of devices with tailored properties, from nanophotonic structures to compact antennas. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹
